The Love Bug LIVE!

BoA was a featured guest on the October 16th episode of Music Station in Japan. Sporting her new shorter hairstyle, she performed an old single with m-flo titled "Love Bug, m-flo loves BoA." She performed this old single most likely to promote her upcoming single, "BUMP BUMP!" which will feature VERBAL of m-flo.

SM Entertainment Says No

We have reported before about the possibilities of BoA starring for the movie, "Hype Nation". However, it seems like seeing BoA on the screen won't be so easy anymore.

BoA had recently been getting numerous spotlights not only in Asia, but here in the U.S. as well. When the consideration for BoA's stellar casting for this movie was released to the press, netizens and fans arose with the same question.

Is BoA finally going for acting now?

Yes, it's true. Such as BoA taking the role of Cho Chang in the Harry Potter series, there had actually been quite a few rumors about her debuting as an actress for the past decade. Although all were eventually proven to be fake, her role in the "Hype Nation" looked even more plausible after their initial choice of Son Dambi, who ended up leaving the project. I guess this is just another "hype" as well, since SM released their negative thoughts toward BoA's Hollywood debut.

SM Entertainment revealed, "One of our USA representatives did have a conference with the movie maker after getting the love call, but there were absolutely no progress after that. So we are not considering it."

BoA To Make A Debut In Hollywood(?)

Looks like BoA might be getting cast in a Hollywood movie!

It has been revealed that BoA received a love call from Universal Studios for a female main character's role in a movie called, "Hype Nation." Son Dambi, who was initially in the main cast recently decided to leave the project. The two sides have already discussed the situation, and I guess after all those delays, things didn't work out great with Son Dambi.

"Hype Nation" is said to be a movie about dance and music with popular American hip hop group B2K and actress Whoopi Goldberg are also included in the cast. The staff was supposed to start filming in Korea earlier this year, but the schedule was delayed due to the US writer's strike.

Universal Studios is said to have decided to cast BoA after seeing her activities in America.

A source from BoA's Korean agency, SM Entertainment, stated, "It is true that we have received an offer, but nothing has been finalized."

We sure hope SM Entertainment does agree, because this will sure help BoA's popularity rise! :)
